About

Our Story

Friendship Community Baptist Church was constituted in 1844, but was established about 40 years prior to that.  The Church has had her troubles and trials but thanks be to God she is in a prosperous condition at present.  Our service is the traditional Baptist service with Praise Worship, Sermon and an Alter call in a friendly, family-oriented service in the original Friendship Baptist Church Building.   We feel this is how God wants us to serve Him and our community. We also are a Missions Church serving God in the mission field here at home and wherever God leads us.  Come join us Sunday Mornings at 10:00 AM. You will have an Opportunity to Connect, an opportunity to grow in the Lord and opportunity to serve the Lord in the Church and in the Community.

Our Beliefs

Building on the Rock, Reaching People with the Good News of Jesus Christ!

Established on the belief that the Bible is God's Word, that it is without error and is our guide for everyday living

Salvation
Salvation involves the redemption of the whole man, and is offered freely to all who accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, who by His own blood obtained eternal redemption for the believer. In its broadest sense salvation includes regeneration, justification, sanctification, and glorification. There is no salvation apart from personal faith in Jesus Christ

Baptism and the Lord's Supper

Christian baptism is the immersion of a believer in water in the name of the  Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. It is an act of obedience symbolizing the believer's faith in a crucified, buried, and risen Savior, the believer's death to sin, the burial of the old life, and the resurrection to walk in newness of life in Christ Jesus. It is a testimony to his faith in the final resurrection of the dead. Being a church ordinance, it is prerequisite to the privileges of church membership and to the Lord's Supper.  The Lord's Supper is a symbolic act of obedience whereby members of the church, through partaking of the bread and the fruit of the vine, memorialize the death of the Redeemer and anticipate His second coming.

Dedicated to doing God's work in this community

Our Mission Statement

TO GLORIFY AND WORSHIP GOD in Christ with all of our heart, soul and mind. In all of our ministry and personal endeavors, we seek to obey the great mandate, to Go into all the world and preach the gospel message of Jesus Christ.

TO RECOGNIZE our great need for individual Christian growth, nurturing ourselves, our families and the church, in a daily walk with God.

TO BEAR witness of our Christian faith in our testimony. Doing so in fellowship and love for our brethren as well as the lost, by seeking to win them to Christ and to make disciples of them.

What should I expect in church?

You will have the Opportunity to Connect.  From the moment you pull into the parking lot and enter FCBC, you'll be made to feel at home.  We are a traditional Southern Baptist Church here to meet your needs.  We want you to have a great experience as our guest.  We want you to feel at home.

During worship there will be a time when our members and regular attenders

give their tithes and offerings to the Lord.  As our guest, all we ask you to do during this time is fill out a guest card  and drop your guest card in the basket as it comes by.  This card is our way of getting to know you better. We will not call you or come visit you unless you request it.  Enjoy the FCBC experience. We hope it will become the best hour of your week.
